Kate & Dominic - Wedding Videography (Sussex Barn - Norfolk)
Our latest Norfolk Wedding Film for Kate & Dominic led us to the rustic & elegant Sussex Barn close to Burnham Market on the North Norfolk Coast & St Marys church in Snettisham with its grandiose and awe inspiring spire which is the tallest in the area, second only to Norwich Cathedral. Lets take a look behind the scenes of what happened and how we captured this love story of this very special couple.
Planning a wedding film should always be fun
In true British style I met Kate & Dominic several weeks before the wedding day at a local pub in Snettisham close to the church when they were in Norfolk visiting family and wedding planning for the day of romance and celebration ahead of them. I don’t think I have laughed as much in my life than I did on this day chatting with these two. I knew these guys were really up for anything & we were all so genuinely excited about filming their wedding. Little did I know I would be inheriting x2 nutcase friends for life!
Filming the wedding car with a drone
When Kate’s dad mentioned he was using his vintage Citroen 2CV as the wedding car we planned how we could shoot it on film. Whats really cool about this is not only is this car oozing retro chic it also meant something and told a story. As it was a family car it meant something to the family and no doubt if it could talk like the famous ‘Herbie’ VW Beetle we all love in true car personification it would have no doubt been honoured to be part of Kate & Dominic’s special day chauffeuring them from the church to Sussex Barn via some Norfolk fields! With the cars canopy down and the guys in the back made for some great drone footage looking directly down for a birds eye view, coupled with some shots on the ground too.
Sussex Barn Wedding Venue on the North Norfolk Coast
Sussex Barn was a perfect spot for the wedding reception. Close to Brancaster beach and Burnham Market on the North Norfolk Coast, with its 18th century rustic feel, vaulted ceiling and soaring beams, this place has a lot of history and soul about it. Plus nestled in its farmland setting makes for a beautiful location and in our case a great spot for filming! There was great accommodation too at the beautiful White House with its tranquil bedrooms, lush decor and commissioned artwork on the walls by local Norfolk artists. We felt right at home.
