Elizabeth & Brian - Wedding Videography (Norwich, Norfolk)
If you are thinking of planning a Norwich Wedding but can't decide between an urban/city wedding or tying the knot in the countryside then take a look at Elizabeth & Brian's epic wedding videography of their Norwich Wedding!
Benefits of tying the knot in the city for a Norwich Wedding
When choosing where to get married is of course a big decision. Even before you get to the detail and minutia of which wedding venue you will no doubt be thinking about what location suits you best. Planning a wedding in Norfolk or Suffolk you are spoilt for choice, trust me I know! Being a Norfolk & Suffolk Wedding Videographer I get to see amazing and varied wedding venues almost every day of the week. There are lots out there, good ones too! However, a city wedding likes and Elizabeth and Brians in Norwich has a different feel to it - in an epic way. City weddings hold a certain allure and edginess to them. You are surrounded by an urban environment. Now I know what you are thinking, 'well we had in our head some picturesque countryside fields and somewhere tucked out of the way for our wedding' which is, of course, great but an urban city wedding can look great on wedding photography and indeed wedding videography too!
A Norwich Wedding or a city wedding elsewhere can be an exciting travel spot for your wedding guests
While a wedding should always be firstly about the wedding couple, considering your wedding guests for a second, getting them to a cool city like Norwich for a wedding will be exciting! It may be a new city for them to explore making a fun getaway for them. You could even help with some great suggestions.
Quirky & Stylish Norwich Wedding Venues
What's great about Norwich weddings and city weddings, in general, is that you will have a wealth of choices for wedding venues - for the wedding ceremony and wedding reception. Elizabeth & Brian actually had their wedding day spread over x3 venues which were lots of fun. They were all close by to each other, meaning there was no need for wedding transport. It also kept everyone entertained like a romantic mystery hunt for the next venue and event. We started with bride prep at The Maids Head Hotel, the ceremony at The Octagon Unitarian Chapel round the corner, headed back to The Maids Head Hotel for the wedding breakfast followed by a short walk to Norwich Arts Centre for lots of dancing and well, shots!
While we are on the subject of wedding transport, this is usually a large cost of a wedding with wedding couples usually having to hire busses or taxi's to get guests from place to place. Having wedding locations close by eliminates this need and well, cost! Cities will also have more public transport and transit options which makes life easier for your wedding guests. Also at the end of the night, your wedding guests will likely be closer to their final overnight accommodation rather than being stuck 30 miles from anywhere with no mobile phone signal trying to get a taxi!
Sourcing cool independent wedding suppliers for a Norwich Wedding
As Norwich is most like cities there is a wealth of independent businesses, shops & vendors to choose from - making your options for quirky food, drinks, locations, evening nibbles never-ending. With Norwich being so cool, I also suspect there will be businesses up for doing your catering or helping supply bits or a space for your wedding reception who maybe not generally work in the world of weddings. So chat with your favourite city bar, shop or doughnut cart - see if they are up for it!
Wedding Videography for a Norwich Wedding
A Norwich wedding gives you a range of scenery as the backdrop for some super couple shots and your city wedding in general. When you watch Elizabeth and Brian's wedding video you will see lots of different places and textures - because that's what a city is all about! The old with Elm Hill medieval cobbled streets and the new and edgy with a graffitied underpass close to Norwich Arts Centre. So if you are planning a city wedding, thinking about wedding videography get in touch, I would love to hear from you! Cheers! Benjamin - Race Wedding Videography
